Biological Assessments

Kai Environmental staff have experience in developing biological assessment documents to determine the potential impacts to fish and wildlife and their habitats. We work hand-in-hand with local resource agencies compiling information to assess the presence of fish and/or wildlife resources in your project area and making recommendations for best management practices if your project has the potential to impact these resources. We can also assist you and/or the lead agency of your NEPA document on informal Section 7 consultation under the Endangered Species Act with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, if needed

Kai Environmental staff also have experience with the U.S. Forest Service's Wildlife Analysis process when work will be conducted on U.S. Forest Service Lands. We can conduct necessary surveys, and prepare documentation to assure that the Wildlife Analysis has address Threatened and Endangered Species, Sensitive Species, Management Indicator Species, Migratory Birds and Subsistence Resources.
